Get the children back to nature
Children are welcome to get involved in animal feeding in the mornings and a highlight of their trip is often bottle-feeding the orphan lambs or collecting fresh eggs for their breakfast. Plus a rustic play barn should the weather be inclement.
"We are a small family-run business and all have a great love of adventure, nature and the outdoors.
Having lived and worked on expeditions in remote regions of the world for many years we moved back to the UK and fell in love with Tremeer"
Sustainability and values
The yurts are off-grid with electricity in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The farm uses solar panels to generate electricity and have they own recycling centre and actively encourage guests to recycle. The team are actively involved in local beach cleans and encourage guest to take part.
As a working farm the owners are involved in the local farmers market. They press their own apple juice, produce soft fruit and vegetables plus beef and lamb. The local dairy delivers twice a week. The farm itself, whilst not certified organic, uses organic principles. The meadow is mown only once a year to encourage wildlife and meadow flowers.
