Detailed Itinerary

One Day Birding Discovery

The Great Yorkshire Forest is one of the few areas of large landscapes in England we can truly call a forest. Habitat networks link the landscape over 30 miles in extent between Scarborough and Sutton Bank in the west. The area is a complex mosaic of ancient woodland, semi-natural woodland, mixed woodland and commercial forest, all set within the beautiful North York Moors National Park. There are four main forest areas; Broxa, Langdale, Dalby and Cropton. Within and around the edges of the forest are many beautiful and historic North Yorkshire villages.

Detailed Itinerary

Full Day Seabird and Whale Watching

These special full day trips have been designed to allow the flexibility to target the best stretch of coastline depending on where the seabird and/or cetacean action is prior to the tour. The trips run from the pretty fishing village of Staithes in North Yorkshire and spend 6 hours at sea. The land based part of the tour is spent sea watching from a nearby coastal watch point to familiarise the group with the seabirds and seawatching techniques. The trips vary between morning sailings and mid-day. The cliff walk will either be before or after boat trip with a break between. Throughout the day you will have a great opportunity to learn about field craft and identification from our local expert guides in a small friendly group environment. Each tour includes the boat trip and an expert local guide in a small group environment.
